  • Dr. Oz

His pursuit of excellence has led him on an arduous educational journey traversing the nation. Despite having to transfer high schools from the West Coast to the Midwest the summer before his junior year, he gained acceptance into a fiercely competitive accelerated pre-dental program at the University of the Pacific. After obtaining his Bachelors of Science in just 3 years, he successfully applied out of the program and ultimately earned his doctorate from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Oz further augmented and honed his skills during his tenure as a General Practice Resident at the highly coveted Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Hospital. Since then he has moved back to Southern California where he practices as a full time general dentist. Dr. Oz continues to foster his spirit for learning by amassing hundreds of hours of continuing education credits, far surpassing the minimum requirement to maintain his license.

As an aspiring figure in the education space, Dr. Oz was formerly a part of Minds Matter Boston. There he served as a mentor in the College Access Program for 2 years— playing a key role in weekly essay reviews, interview preparations, and leadership development for high school students. During his time as a resident, Dr. Oz served as part of the selection committee alongside program directors and faculty for prospective GPR applicants. He has guided students through application reviews, essay compositions & revisions, and interview preparations ranging in levels from high school to post-doctoral programs. Currently he serves as a mentor for the Health Academy at California High School where he offers career insights and guidance to aspiring health professional students. With Application Ambassadors, Dr. Oz is ecstatic to continue his journey through the realm of education.
